The Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, the Banqueting House, Kensington Palace, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle & Gardens impress sightseers in their millions every year. Increasing visitor numbers and revenue is a key priority to ensuring the preservation of these historic buildings and the stories within them for generations to come.
As part of the Communications & Development department Sales Team, your role will be to increase visitor numbers and revenue from the group, coach, and travel trade market and raise the profile of HRP within all aspects of this sector.

You will conduct direct sales calls to key clients and potential partners, and promote seasonal and annual events to drive visitor numbers and maintain yield. Representing HRP on industry associations, you will attend industry events and ensure regular updates. As such you will contribute to the overall success of the sales strategy for the group travel organiser and couch and tour operators sector.

You will help implement tactical promotions within the sales budget, and will work with colleagues to ensure coverage for HRP in all relevant trade publications in a timely, relevant fashion. You will organise product updates and familiarisation trips for key clients, and will also support the team in reviewing the account holders’ business and lapsed accounts.

It is essential that you understand sales and distribution methods used in the tourism industry sector, and that you are a strong negotiator with the ability to build relationships and influence people. Your sales experience in the tourism sector will mean that your presentation and communication skills will be of the highest standard.

The role requires good knowledge and experience of CRM and databases, so you will need to will need to be proficient in using these systems. To be successful in the role you will need to be well organised, with highly developed administration and planning skills, as well as a team player with strong influencing skills.

This position is based at the Tower of London but will involve regular visits to the other sites, as well as some domestic travel to client meetings and exhibitions.
