Contract 3– 13.43 hours per week, 12:00-15:30 (Winter), 12:00-16:00 (Summer)

Historic Royal Palaces is the conservation and education charity responsible for the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, Kew Palace, Banqueting House and Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland.
We currently have three part time vacancies in the Security Department at Kensington Palace for Front of House Security Officers working a 4 on, 4 off, days-only shift pattern. The main areas of work will be in the searching of visitors’ bags entering our premises, static guarding in specific locations and elements of patrolling work.
Working closely with the Security Team Leader, you will provide a professional, responsive, courteous and vigilant security presence in the Palace at a time when the security footing continues to evolve in response to Kensington’s on-going role as a Royal residence and a busy visitor attraction.
The role, based at Kensington Palace, will help protect the people, premises and assets associated with Kensington and Kew Palaces in 5-Star style, as befits the Royal Palaces.

• Part time Contract 1 – £11,224 per annum (20.46 hours per week)
• Part time Contract 2–  (NB: 9 month contract) £10,264 per annum (18.71 hour per week)
• Part time Contract 3 (NB: 3 month contract) – £7367 per annum pro rata (13.43 hours per week)

Based on the full time equivalent of £19,750 per annum

The ideal candidates will demonstrate excellent customer-facing skills, knowledge of basic security principles and preferably have experience of working in customer-facing heritage or corporate environment.
