Historic Royal Palaces (HRP) is a team of people who love and look after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world. We create space for spirits to stir and be stirred.

We are currently planning Superbloom, a large-scale wildflower installation for the Tower of London moat in 2022. Alongside this exciting and unique moment in the Tower’s history, we will deliver a national schools project to engage hundreds of schools in creating their own flower gardens with a focus on gardening for well-being. As an Assistant Digital Producer, you will be part of the Digital Engagement Team working closely with the Schools Team to create high-quality digital content for this nationwide schools' project.

In this project-based role you will be responsible for planning, producing, and publishing digital content to help participating schools get involved, connect with each another and share their experiences with a wider audience. You will manage a project microsite within the HRP corporate website and use your excellent editorial and production skills to produce web pages, photo galleries and blog posts, as well as overseeing the production of some short form video content and photographs.

Based at the Tower of London with regular home working as an option.

To succeed in the role, you will need considerable experience of writing and publishing web content using a Content Management System, as well as the ability to adapt quickly to using our Digital Asset Management system to upload and tag images. A good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop to edit images for web is also required. The collation of user generated content from participating schools is a key element of the content strategy, so experience of managing UGC, as well as a knowledge of data protection issues relating to children and young people is also important to us.

Working alongside HRP’s Film Producer you will have the opportunity to produce photo and video content, and you will bring your experience of planning and managing shoots and completing production paperwork efficiently. As some content from the schools' project will be published across HRP’s social channels, we also require a good understanding of social media and the ability to plan effectively with HRP’s Social Media team to produce appropriate content and coordinate its release across channels. You will also be responsible for supporting the Schools Team to facilitate a Facebook group where teachers can share their experiences about the project.

This role requires a high level of collaboration with project stakeholders, so effective communication and organisation skills are essential, as well as a good level of IT literacy, especially with the MS Office suite of programmes.
