Digital Learning Producer (Schools Content)

Full-time – 2 year fixed-term contract

Tower of London with travel to Hampton Court Palace and flexibility with home working

Historic Royal Palaces (HRP) is a team of people who love and look after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world. We create space for spirits to stir and be stirred.

We have an ambition to grow and develop our online provision for schools, offering relevant and engaging digital content for all Key Stages that reaches a nationwide audience. Our aim is to enable teachers and students to access heritage of national significance, expanding the reach of our schools programme and raising awareness among the education sector of HRP as a provider of high-quality content for learners.

As the Digital Learning Producer, you will lead on the definition and scope of a new programme of work, supported and guided by the Digital Engagement and Schools Content teams. Using your extensive experience of digital content production, you will oversee the planning, production and delivery of new digital content and resources. Your knowledge of the National Curriculum and current best practice in teaching will help to ensure the content and resources we create meet the needs and expectations of teachers and learners.

To succeed in the role, you will need a strong track record of content strategy and planning, responding to data and audience insights to develop ideas collaboratively with teachers, learners and stakeholders.

You will be a confident project manager with strong track record of scoping, scheduling, producing and commissioning content in multiple formats, including but not limited to: printable resources, images, audio, videos, games and web pages. We plan to commission freelance Content Writers and Content Producers to create some of our new content, and you will be responsible for establishing a network of freelancers who have the skills and experience to work flexibly with us to produce this learning content.

As we deliver our content and resources to teachers on the HRP website, your knowledge of user experience and web design to inform the presentation of content, as well as your understanding of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), accessibility and compliance are also important to us.

This role requires a high level of collaboration with project stakeholders, so effective communication and organisational skills are essential.
