Digital Production Assistant (Web Team)
Historic Royal Palaces is the independent charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, the Banqueting House, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle & Gardens.
Based at the Tower of London (with travel to Hampton Court Palace) Fixed Term 12 months

Historic Royal Palaces are looking for a Digital Production Assistant to join our busy Digital Engagement team to support the team to create and manage digital content, products and experiences for use on-site, off-site and online across our six palaces.
As part of the Web team, you will help deliver our objectives; attracting, engaging with and serving our visitors’ online and on-site requirements, increasing recognition and understanding of our stories and ensuring our content is accessible to our audiences.
You will be a self-motivated team player, responsible for supporting the editing and updating of web content to search engine optimisation requirements and copy standards. You will have some experience working with content management systems and be able to support trained CMS editors where required. You will support content production including researching and sourcing images from external providers and the production of copy, images and downloadable resources. You will work with stakeholders to conduct desk research and support the delivery for online content projects and products to meet requirements.

You will have some experience in online web copywriting and editing. With good editorial and writing skills you will be able to apply best practice principles of writing for the web, adapting your language style and tone for different audiences. Knowledge of HTML, Photoshop and accessibility standards is essential, with search engine optimisation preferred.
You must have creative flair with good content production skills.
To succeed in this role, the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, manage a wide programme of work and work collaboratively across departments is essential.
Salary: £ 24,765 per annum
