Warehouse Assistant

Historic Royal Palaces is the independent charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, the Banqueting House, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle

Our small, friendly and dedicated warehouse team provide an essential support service to our retail shops located in these iconic landmarks in and around London.

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will work as part of a close team to help ensure our shops are fully stocked.  You will assist with delivering to our palace shops if required, booking in deliveries from carriers, moving goods to the right place for bar coding, picking stock and carrying out stock checks.  Picking and packing for e-commerce orders will form part of this role, together with any general housekeeping. It will also see you liaising with internal and external customers, answering queries and alerting the warehouse manager to any problems so that they can be quickly solved. 

Applicants should be educated to GCSE or equivalent level, with basic PC skills.  The ability to demonstrate competence in both accuracy and numeracy will also be a key requirement. Good communication, both written and spoken, will be essential and previous warehouse experience would be an advantage. You should work well under pressure and be calm and flexible in your approach and work well as part of a team.  A full clean driving licence is also required.

Your hours of work will be 40hrs per week from 7am to 3.30pm on a rota pattern working 5 days out of 7, which may include weekends and bank holiday. Please note we currently have temporary and established roles available.
