We are recruiting for an assistant buildings curator who will be part of the curators team.  This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about history and the built heritage. In this position you will support the Curator of Historic Buildings working on conservation, public displays, and infra-structure projects at the Tower of London and the Banqueting House, Whitehall.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has a passion for historic architecture and archaeology; and who is committed to maintaining and providing access to some of England’s most remarkable and significant buildings.

To qualify, you should have a degree in history, archaeology, art and architectural history or heritage studies. A postgraduate qualification in a similar field is desirable. You will need to demonstrate previous experience or commitment to working in the fields of historical research, archaeology or in buildings conservation. You will also need excellent communication and organisational skills, and be at ease with the prospect of being part of a team, or working alone on your own small-scale projects, and also with liaising with stakeholders inside and outside the organisation.
Historic Royal Palaces is an equal opportunities employer and truly values a diverse workforce.  Applications are welcome from candidates regardless of their background.
