This is an exciting time to be joining the Business Development team within Retail as we further expand our successful licensing programme.

Your ultimate aim will be to help maximise income by developing commercially branded products with external partners under license. Day-to-day, you will be the first point of contact for existing HRP licensees and will work with them to ensure they are up-to-date with licensed product development plans by managing a product development calendar. To ensure that every product is of a high quality and meets our tone of voice and brand guidelines, you will liaise with the HRP specialist departments; research historically accurate information, write and proof read copy and research images from our palaces and select artwork from our licensed artpack to inspire new design. In addition you will monitor accurate and timely royalty payments and ensure that standard contractual obligations are being met by each licensee.

You will have the opportunity to travel to trade shows and to assist in identifying potential new licensees as well as promote licensed product and the HRP brand through various PR and Marketing activities associated with product development.

This is a challenging and varied role. Knowledge and experience in the licensing sector is therefore essential and should cover brand and product development. To excel, you will need to be both creative and commercial with a passion for history. You will be a graduate and have a high standard of written and verbal English. Clear communication with an organised approach and the ability to work to tight deadlines will be crucial. You will need to work collaboratively as part of a team with both HRP colleagues and external companies. Mircrosoft word and Excel skills are required.
Historic Royal Palaces is an equal opportunities employer and truly values a diverse workforce.  Applications are welcome from candidates regardless of their background.
