Are you a proactive and enthusiastic individual who relishes the challenge of working as part of a busy team? Do you thrive in a sales driven environment; going that extra mile to ensure a consistently high level of customer care?

We are currently recruiting for a dynamic, confident, and friendly Welcome Team Leader to inspire our established and skilled admissions team. Your challenge will be to lead the team in delivering consistent 5 star customer service and providing a warm welcome to Kensington Palace visitors from across the UK and around the world.

Leading from the front, your duties will involve managing and developing your admissions team, making sure that five star service and presentation standards are upheld. A key aspect of this role is ensuring that donations, Gift Aid, guidebooks and membership are promoted and commercial targets met. An expert in cash management and ticketing systems, you will be expected to ensure that you and your team follow correct cash handling procedures and that stock levels are effectively managed.

People and performance management skills and experience are crucial. Whether roster planning for your permanent team, or arranging seasonal, casual and volunteer support, you will need to be well organised, have excellent planning skills, and be solution oriented.

To ensure the smooth daily operations of the Welcome Team, you will have proven face-to-face customer service, cash handling and management experience. Passion and flair for proactively engaging with all visitors, guests and internal customers is essential, as is experience of working in a target driven environment with an education to GCSE level or equivalent.

The successful candidate will be confident, outgoing and have significant supervisory experience. Excellent communication and influencing skills, ideally gained in the leisure, retail, heritage or tourism sectors, are essential in this role. You will also be used to multi-tasking and working under pressure. Working along side the other Team Leaders, you will share the responsibility for the smooth running of the front-of-house every day.

Experience working with the EPOS ticketing systems, language skills and knowledge of fire, health, safety and security procedures are desirable.
