HR Advisor (Diversity & Inclusion)
Historic Royal Palaces is the independent charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, the Banqueting House, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle & Gardens.
As HR Advisor for Diversity and Inclusion, you will have a key role in helping to build and support an outstanding workforce.
This is a critical position with much variety and broad responsibility. You will have a genuine interest in and working knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion issues and be an ambassador for their promotion in the workplace. Growing the diversity of our workforce is a key organisational objective with a current focus on visible ethnicity and this will need someone with the ability to promote change and positive attitudes working with departments across the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include identifying ways to inspire, attract and retain people from all backgrounds and cultures, which may include delivering recruitment and stakeholder events, establishing internal networks, managing our Employment Ambassador programme and taking ownership of updating our diversity and inclusion web pages. You will also act as the first point of contact for internal diversity and inclusion issues and be responsible for the monitoring of statistics, producing reports to analyse and make future recommendations to deliver our goals.
Another key element of this role will be to manage and expand HRP’s already established apprenticeship scheme, reviewing its effectiveness, delivering our strategy, recommending change where necessary and working to maximise the drawdown of the recently introduced levy.
In addition to all that, you will support the HR management team in providing a core HR service: general advice on performance management issues and HR policies; managing recruitment campaigns; assisting in running workshops for line managers and other staff.
