Historic Royal Palaces (HRP) is a team of people who love and look after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world: Hampton Court Palace, the Tower of London, Kensington Palace, the Banqueting House, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle and Gardens.  

We are seeking to recruit an experienced information professional to join our small Information Management team that looks after information, records and archives across all six palaces.  

As the Senior Records Officer, you will help us oversee the appropriate management and protection of our valuable information for future generations.  You will join a successful cross-organisational project team to finish migrating legacy data from network file shares into M365 Sharepoint, delivering the data review, training and business change aspects of the project.   

You will support teams to use the tools provided by M365 and will update and maintain HRP’s retention schedule whilst also providing support, assistance, and training to staff about HRP’s information management systems and processes. You will oversee the management and transfer of legacy public records to The National Archives as required by the Public Records Act and will advise and develop solutions to ensure the long-term preservation of HRP’s corporate archive material.  

You will have demonstrable experience of managing information in a complex environment and will be an expert in the use of M365. Your knowledge and experience of the Public Records Act will enable you to select, appraise and prepare materials for transfer to the National Archives.  You will demonstrate your ability to prioritise work with your logical and methodical approach, and your excellent communication skills will help you foster good working relationships with colleagues across HRP.
