We are a team of people who love and look after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world. We create space for spirits to stir and be stirred.

The Research Manager helps develop our profile as an Independent Research Organisation. You will support and encourage our funding applications for academic research, administer our collaborative doctoral partnerships and foster our research culture.  You might undertake some research and publication activities depending on your own research background and our institutional priorities. Working collaboratively with research-active staff across HRP, you will identify research-funding opportunities and help to frame applications.

You will have a good understanding of research and research funding in the heritage and university sectors. Your excellent writing and editing skills will help you be able to construct a compelling ‘case for support’. A relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent is essential, plus the necessary academic and historic environment experience to make recommendations about research potential. Prior experience of working on funded research projects is desirable.

Salary:                      £40,537pa
