The Research Manager supports the organisational goal to develop our profile as an Independent Research Organisation. Working closely with the Head of Research in the Research team you will support and encourage our funding applications for academic research, administer our collaborative doctoral partnerships and foster our research culture.  It is intended that you will undertake research and publication as institutionally appropriate. Working collaboratively with research-active staff across HRP you will identify research-funding opportunities and help to frame applications.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of research and research funding in the heritage and university sectors. They should have excellent writing and editing skills and be able to construct a compelling ‘case for support’. A relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent is essential, plus the necessary academic and historic environment experience to make recommendations about research potential. Prior experience of undertaking funded research projects is desirable.
