We are seeking an outstanding individual to lead fundraising at Hillsborough Castle and Gardens.

Hillsborough Castle and Gardens will fully open in spring 2019 following a major refurbishment supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and a number of generous philanthropists and foundations.  With the capital programme fully funded, we are seeking an experienced and imaginative fundraiser to shape the next phase of our fundraising activities. 
In this new role, you will have considerable impact on the future of the castle by creating significant sustainable new revenue streams.  Maximising the opportunities presented by our programme, you will be responsible for building a base of local support among individuals, businesses and charitable foundations.

In addition, you will play a key role in delivering an exciting programme of fundraising coaching to Third Sector organisations in Northern Ireland as part of the ‘Hillsborough Castle Hub’ programme, supported by the Garfield Weston Foundation.  This will include recruiting and line managing a Development Apprentice.

This role is based at Hillsborough Castle, and is part of the Development Team.  The Development Team is principally based at the Tower of London and occasional travel to London will be required.

Interviews will take place week commencing 14th January

You will have a minimum of three years’ experience in fundraising.  This experience could have been gained in corporate-, individual- or foundation-specialist roles, or in a broader fundraising role.  You will have the skill, confidence and experience to work autonomously and the flexibility to work as part of a team.  Above all, you will have the motivation and drive to build significant sustainable revenue in support of the exciting future of Hillsborough Castle and Gardens.
