Full time (36 hours per week)
Temporary contract - 6 months
Occasional weekend and shift working

You could play a key role in the success of our Public Engagement Directorate, which helps people of all ages to engage with some of the world’s most famous heritage sites. Working in a team that reports to the Operations Manager for Public Engagement, you will support school, family and adult events at Hampton Court Palace. You will do this by providing the facilities, reception and administrative support that ensures Public Engagement programmes run smoothly for our visitors at these sites. To aid in this, you will have responsibility for a large group volunteers.

You will have plenty of contact with visitors of all ages so the need for an outgoing, enthusiastic and flexible personality is a must. You will also need well-developed communication skills in order to liaise with colleagues in Public Engagement and interact with other departments across HRP, particularly the Palaces Group Operations team with whom you will need to build a strong and close relationship.

Interviews will be held on Thursday 10th January 2019.

You’ll have a good track record of working in a busy customer-facing environment in a relevant industry, and you’ll be able to demonstrate your exceptional customer service skills and solution-based approach to dealing with any queries or complaints. You’ll be IT literate, and knowledge of the conference software, Kinetix (Kx), would be beneficial, as would experience of working with volunteers or volunteer management. With some heavy lifting required, this can be a physically demanding role.

The hours of work will normally be 9.00am to 5.15pm, Monday to Friday - however, weekend and shift working will also be required from time to time.

Interviews will be held on Thursday 10th January 2019.
