We are the independent charity that loves and looks after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world. The palaces are the setting for the stories that shape us all, and we’re bringing them to people in ways that mean more to them. We want everyone to find themselves in the spaces and stories we share.
The Individual Giving Manager will play a pivotal role in helping Historic Royal Palaces reach further and mean more for people today and in the future. This newly-created role will establish and lead the organisation’s first integrated organisation‑wide public fundraising programme, growing sustainable income from visitors and wider public audiences in support of our charitable purpose.
Working at pace, the postholder will design and deliver a clear, effective Individual Giving strategy, develop and oversee new public fundraising products, and lead the planning and delivery of a high‑profile public appeal supporting a major capital campaign. The role requires a proactive, solutions‑focused approach, balancing ambition with responsible use of charitable resources to maximise impact.
Collaboration is central to this role. The Individual Giving Manager will work across teams and with external partners, valuing diverse perspectives and building trusted relationships to deliver shared goals. They will champion innovative and visitor-focused fundraising experiences, embrace learning, and continuously evaluate and improve performance to ensure Historic Royal Palaces remains a charity for everyone.
