Historic Royal Palaces are looking for an Assistant Web Digital Producer to join our busy Digital Engagement team to create and manage digital content, products and experiences for use online across our six palaces.
As part of the Web team, you will help deliver our objectives; attracting, engaging and converting customers, serving our visitor online requirements, increasing recognition and understanding of our stories and ensuring our content is accessible to our audiences.
To succeed in this role, the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, be detail orientated and manage a wide programme of work is essential. You will need to produce content that meets accuracy and quality standards. The ability to work confidently and collaboratively across departments is also essential.

You will be a self-motivated, team player, responsible for reviewing and managing the website mailbox, creating and editing content to search/ generative engine requirements and copy standards. You will be experienced in working with Content Management Systems (CMS), can troubleshoot website/CMS issues, train new CMS editors and support existing editors. You will work with stakeholders to deliver and support online content projects and products to meet visitor user journeys. You will support the performance of the website by actioning best practice technical and content recommendations, as well as use and interpret data to inform requirements and solutions.
With strong copy writing and editorial skills, you will have experience in creating and editing content that meets digital best practice and user experience for various user journeys across the website. You will be able to use best practice principles of writing for the web, adapting your language style and tone for different audiences. Knowledge of HTML, Photoshop, SEO and accessibility standards is essential.
You should have creative flair, along with digital project management and content production skills. You will have the ability to evaluate requirements into clear, imaginative solutions to engage our audiences. Experience of supplier and partnership management, and the production of digital assets is important. Knowledge of Agile methodology is desirable.
