Hourly salary is £13.23 per hour (increasing to £15.07 per hour from 1st April 2024)

Contract Date: 14th May 2024 – 1st September 2024
Minimum of c.375 hours guaranteed over 16 weeks, 7.75 hours per day.
Full weeks will be 5 days out of 7 and both full and part time weeks will include weekend and bank holiday days on a rota basis.

Historic Royal Palaces is a charity that looks after six iconic sites in the UK; Hampton Court, the Tower of London, Kensington Palace, the Banqueting House, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle. You will be joining our friendly and experienced team in supporting us during our exciting Summer period. We will be hosting a range of events, from our annual Music Festival and Food Festivals alongside live programming and interpretation.

You will be working in a team across the site in a varied role, ranging from our beautiful historic rooms to checking tickets at our entrances, ensuring everyone receives exceptional service. You will also be looking after the safety and security of the site, including objects and people, alongside many other duties.

This role includes weekend and evening work.

The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service, security and working as part of a team. You will have a suitable level of fitness in order to carry out the fundamental requirements of the job profile, which will involve working both indoors and outdoors, as well as some evening events.

An interest and knowledge in history is advantageous but not necessary.

Contract Date: 14th May 2024 – 1st September 2024

Full training will be provided. The training sessions will run from 14th May through 24th May and attendance at these sessions is required.
