The season runs until 31st of October 2018. You will be working on a shift pattern that will require you to work weekends and bank holidays.

As a State Apartment Warder at Hampton Court Palace you will help our visitors to explore the story of how monarchs and people have shaped society, in one of the greatest palaces ever built.

We welcome over half a million visitors through our gates annually. Your main role will be to help ensure that every customer feels delighted by their contact with HRP and their experience at Hampton Court Palace.  You will be a passionate and engaging storyteller with the ability to bring history to life for our visitors by sharing fascinating stories about the palace and its past. You will be able to balance this with your responsibility for maintaining the security of precious artifacts and exhibits within the palace and the safety of the public.

You will have a commitment to exceptional customer service and the ability to work as part of a close-knit team, requiring a high level of communication skills. An interest in history and willingness to learn is also desirable for this role.


This role requires you to work on a rolling roster including weekends and bank holidays.
