Operations Manager

Full Time - 36 hours per week

Learning and engagement (L&E) is central to the work of HRP and the L&E team organise programmes, projects, events, activities and more for all audiences across all of our palaces. This is a pivotal managerial role within the Learning and Engagement team.
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the learning programmes across all sites and offsite. You will manage the L&E Operations team to provide operational and administrative support, duty management of events and activities, and on the ground visitor support.  You will ensure that activities consistently meet the high standards expected and every customer feels delighted by their contact with HRP. 
You will oversee L&E bookings, diary management systems and processes, maintenance of L&E spaces and resources, and volunteer/contractor management. You will assist in the development of HRP wide strategies such as security planning, CRM and data protection. You will contribute to the development and delivery of the L&E strategy, especially new initiatives for formal, family and teen audiences as well as digital. You will work with L&E managers to plan budgets, set targets and report on business performance.

We are looking for a confident, calm and experienced manager who is educated to degree level (or equivalent). You will have excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage a busy programme across multiple sites.  You will have an interest in history or heritage and an understanding of the importance of learning and engagement within the heritage environment.  You will enjoy working as part of a team, have great people skills and will support others to succeed.
