Ecommerce has become an integral part of the Historic Royal Palaces’ Retail strategy and we are now looking for an experienced Ecommerce Trading and Digital Marketing Manager who can help us build on the success of this key and dynamic sales channel.
From homewares to collectables, jewellery to gifts and books to toys, our online shop offers a wide range of unique product which reflect the history and stories of the six magnificent palaces in our care. Your goal will be to manage, trade, digitally market and develop the HRP online retail shop, to ensure strategy is delivered and targets are met.


You will be responsible for all aspects of trading and digital marketing of the online business and for achieving the annual objectives, forecasted sales, setting targets and KPI’s. You’ll be accountable and responsible for driving sales, managing search engine optimization, analyzing and reporting on website sales analytics, as well as carefully reviewing and implementing actions as required. You will define and deliver the online shop CRM strategy and framework, by setting digital KPI’s and making strategic recommendations. You will manage all written, graphic and photographic content, ensuring accuracy, in addition to creating/implementing digital marketing plans and calendars. Duties will also include reviewing best practice comparative ecommerce sites, being aware of current trends and creating new opportunities to maximise sales in these areas.

You should be educated to degree level, have significant proven experience in online trading, project and budget management.  Advanced experience of GA, SEO, PPC and content management, as well as proficient use of web analytical tools are essential in this role.  Applicants should also have experience in customer service and the fulfillment process.
Leading a small team and growing business, you will need to be very hands on with a flexible approach and have the ambition to drive this business forward. You should have experience in market places and managing and developing a commercial website with knowledge of key trends. You will have managed and lead successful teams, as well have as excellent communication skills (written and verbal), advanced excel and numerical and analytical skills.
