Surveyor of the Fabric & Projects

Why hasn’t the Tower of London fallen down? Is it because:

1. There is a long tradition of craftsmen working on the buildings? 2. There is a long tradition of surveyors and professionals working on the buildings? 3. The ravens haven’t left? Answer: All three are correct! Some may feel the hand of history upon their shoulder but your legacy could be keeping buildings standing for another 900 years where historic events of national importance actually took place.

We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to stand in line with Inigo Jones and Christopher Wren, and join the in-house Historic Royal Palaces team of surveying and property professionals. We are working to conserve six palaces including two World Heritage Sites, scheduled monuments and Grade 1 listed buildings whilst keeping them alive as vibrant visitor attractions.

We have a £50m programme of building conservation works, new build, refurbishment, conversion, representation and infrastructure projects and need to add quantity surveyors and building surveyors to our team.

Can you combine historic buildings conservation experience with processes that deliver award-winning projects working closely with highly skilled craftsmen, conservators, specialists, architects, engineers, surveyors and curators?

We know that people are the key to our success, so we aim to recruit, retain, develop, and motivate the very best. If you feel you are up to the challenge we would love to hear from you!

Historic Royal Palaces is an equal opportunities employer and truly values a diverse workforce.  Applications are welcome from candidates regardless of their background.
