Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive
Historic Royal Palaces is the independent charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, the Banqueting House, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle & Gardens.
We are seeking to appoint a professional, confident, experienced Executive Assistant for the Chief Executive. Your role will be to ensure the smooth running of the Chief Executive’s office, managing the Chief Executive’s diary and work by providing confidential and professional support of the highest quality for this important office. The position will form an essential link within the organisation and to external stakeholders.
To succeed, you will have highly developed communication skills – both verbal and written – with an easy and direct approach, the ability to organise meetings, papers, travel and manage financial processes. As an enthusiastic and energetic individual, you will enjoy the challenge of managing key relationships in a fast-paced and changing environment. You will be able to work under your own initiative, finding solutions to issues before escalating them and have the confidence to make decisions. However, you will still need to be a team player, flexible and remain calm under pressure.
Excellent word processing skills with a strong working knowledge of MS software packages including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint will be a given, along with the ability to communicate in plain English and to keep things simple. An appetite to explore digital communication production will be a bonus. Other aspects of this role include secretarial/administrative support for the Chairman and the Head of Governance.
Educated to at least A’ level standard, you will have a demonstrable track-record providing secretarial/administrative support at a senior level to a busy office and delivery of the demands of a diverse workload, preferably including experience in the ‘not-for-profit’ / third sector.
