Historic Royal Palaces (HRP) is a successful, high performing organisation built on strong foundations. An independent charity, we manage the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, the Banqueting House, Kensington Palace, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland. We help everyone to explore the story of how monarchs and people have shaped society in some of the greatest palaces ever built.
With nearly five million visitors every year, we are financially self-sufficient and deliver our twin charitable aims of conservation and education with no public funding. We have a reputation for self-reliance, innovation and high standards in everything we do but we are not resting on our laurels.

We are looking for an exceptional new Palaces Group (Operations) Director to provide strong leadership across three of our landmark sites; Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace and Kew Palace. At the heart of this role, you will drive operational excellence and continuously improve the customer experience, ensuring that our service remains authentic, seamless and distinctive. You’ll also provide leadership for major initiatives planned to take place at these palaces in the coming years, aimed at motivating more visits and transforming experiences.

Working closely with the Executive Team and Board of Trustees, you will provide strong leadership to a multi-disciplinary team of talented staff, continuing to build upon our culture of excellence. A strategic and hands on leader, you will forge key relationships with high profile stakeholders, donors and supporters, representing HRP positively at all times.
