Historic Royal Palaces (HRP) is the independent charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, the Banqueting House, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle & Gardens in Northern Ireland. Each of the six Palaces in our care have fascinating stories to tell. They are symbols of power and royal splendour, but also witnesses of turbulent times, war and politics, family strife, love and betrayal, expansion and revolution.

Your role will be to produce events and projects that foreground the contemporary relevance of these stories, invite new perspectives and represent unheard or underrepresented voices. This is an exciting opportunity to work within HRP’s newly established Arts & Cultural Programming team on producing an ambitious programme of immersive experiences, artistic interventions and ‘Lates’ across multiple sites to engage new audiences.

We are looking for an experienced Producer with a track record of spearheading and realising ambitious and innovative live events/festivals/ productions. We are seeking a professional with a specialism in music and sound-based live experiences. A good understanding of producing work in listed historic settings will be an advantage.

You will be an original thinker and great team player with a proven track record of building lasting relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will work well under pressure and on your own initiative and be eager to support others to succeed. A passion for the arts and cultural sector is essential, as well as a deep belief in the transformative power of innovative storytelling and live experiences in heritage sites.

This role requires occasional evening, weekend and bank holiday work.

Closing date 9th February 2020, interviews on 17th and 18th February
