We are currently seeking an experienced software tester to provide assurance through testing that the various software systems provided throughout the business are fit for purpose and free from defects.

You will be responsible for creating a test plan based on the customer’s requirements, and liaising with key system users to ensure a complete user acceptance test is carried out. You will be working within dedicated project teams and be responsible for creating, running and maintaining test scripts to cover the functional testing of our systems. You will be expected to keep up to date with any changes that have been made to the systems and the interdependencies on testing so that all areas are thoroughly tested.

You will record and monitor detailed metrics to track the progress and outcomes of the testing process, and will communicate progress to your internal stakeholders at regular intervals. You will report and escalate issues to internal customers and the software supplier in a timely fashion. You will keep track of known issues to identify trends so that fixes can be targeted to specific areas of functionality.

Educated to degree level or equivalent within a computer or IT related field, you will have a minimum of two years’ work experience as an independent tester with a proven ability in a software testing environment. You will have a
good working knowledge of test management applications and defect tracking applications, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. You must possess a strong drive and passion for software testing.
